CARTEL KINGSDAY 2021 POSTPONED DUE TO CORONA CRISIS
It’s with great sadness and a heavy heart, we’re forced to postpone Cartel Kingsday for the second year in a row due to the ongoing corona crisis. We’ve been hoping for a magnificent comeback after the disappointment of last years postponement, but sadly, it wasn’t meant to happen.
The 25 mayors of the Dutch security consultation decided that there will be no public events allowed until at least the 5th of May 2021. Therefore, large events on Kingsday (27th of April) and Liberation Day (5th of May) are all canceled/postponed.
Hopefully, we’ll be able to welcome you again at the Westerunie next year to celebrate the longest Kingsday party in Amsterdam – and boy, do we all need it. We can guarantee you that we’ll pull out all the stops next year to give you a Cartel Kingsday that’s bigger, better, and crazier like ever before.
For those with a ticket from last year, there are two possibilities: save your ticket for next year or request a refund of your ticket price (ex. service costs). If you’d like a refund, file a refund request before the 27th of April, 2021. If you do not request a refund, your ticket will remain valid for next year.
Please keep in mind, your ticket funds are what keeps us as an organisation alive and able to provide you with a unique Kingsday event. Therefore, we hope you hold on to your ticket for another year.
For now, stay safe, stay healthy and we will see each other at Cartel Kingsday 2022.
